4 Common Sense Natural Skin Care Tips
July 13, 2009
We might forget that natural skincare need not be all about buying and using natural skin care products, like the beauty product commercials say. Don’t be convinced that using skincare products is the only way to take care of your skin; natural skincare also works. Here are four effective and serious skin care solutions.
1. Drink plenty of water to maintain your body’s hydration. Natural skin care treatments need not be expensive, and we often overlook that our entire body, including our skin, needs constant moisture. Every skin type needs moisturisation; just don’t rehydrate on alcohol and caffeine, as these liquids tend to dehydrate you more; that means less moisture for your skin.
2. Do regular or scheduled workouts, to increase the flow of blood through out your body. Blood circulation is what brings oxygen to each part of our body, including the largest organ we have: our skin. Blood also circulates throughout the body all the vitamins, minerals, and nutrients the body need. Exercise is an often overlooked all natural skin care solution, probably because it is less advertised. Regular jogging is a usual natural facial skin care tip gym instructors give. Not only do you feel energized but your skin tends to glow more.
3. Eat healthy and avoid junk foods. You want to keep away from foods that contribute to acne breakouts, that way you get less oily skin that’s also resistant to blemishes; these foods include sweets, high fat foods, soft drinks. Natural and anti aging skincare foods include meals with some cod liver oil, Omega-3 eggs, fresh water fish, and organic butter. Also, get six to eight hours of deep sleep.
4. Determine your skin type. While getting enough sleep, working out, and eating and drinking right are general beauty skin care tips, you should determine your skin type – dry, sensitive, oily, combination – before you try out some of the moisturisers and exfoliants on the market. You’re better off using all natural skin care products if you want to avoid irritating your skin.
Not only do these natural skin care solutions work, but they neither involve artificial ingredients that might harm your skin, and they cost a great deal less than the skincare products that receives much media hype these days.
You can of course use facials and masks as well as drinking water and exercising. Women have been making their own natural skin care products for centuries. A simple mask of honey and oatmeal made into a paste is a standard favorite; the honey moisturizes while the oatmeal cleans and exfoliates. Eggs, avocado, cucumber, plain yogurt, and vitamin E oil are also good ingredients you can try to make up your own natural skin care products and masks.
