Everyone loves the beach, it’s a great place to hang out, meet people and get exercise. But you should also remember the dangers when going to the beach, and keep in mind the rules that are in place to keep you and your family safe. It’s probably best to just put on some tanning bed lotion and lay down in a solarium than lie out in the sun. Though of course, putting on the tanning bed lotions and sitting under the tan-creator has also been shown to cause cancer, so it’s probably best just to be as careful as you can at all times. First off, make certain you’ve got plenty of sunscreen for you and your friends. Sunscreen actually works, as those who’ve drawn their name in sunscreen than lay down in the sun for a while will be able to inform you. Make sure that the cream covers your whole body, including your legs, ears, and nose, and feel free to ask a friend, or stranger, to do your back for you.
It’s also vital that you don’t play around rocky areas. The damage such an accident could cause should be pretty obvious. If you’re traveling to the beach to fish in a rocky place, be extremely careful, as this is one of the most dangerous leisure activities you can ever take part in. The possibility of an unnoticed big wave coming out and dragging you out to see, or hurling you against the rocks, is real and happens often, so take care.
Speaking of unpredictable oceans, make sure that if you’re caught in a rip you know what to do. Don’t bother fighting against the rip for too long, as this is sometimes not possible and will just cause you to lose a lot of energy. Instead, swim alongside the rip in an effort to get around it, and make sure to stay above water.
If you have a buddy with you at all times while you’re playing in the ocean you’ll be much safer. If you’re caught in a rip without anyone else to notice you’re gone, you can imagine that you’ll be in a fair bit of trouble with no one to help you out. For this reason, it’s also vital you make sure to stay where there are lifesavers nearby, as they’ll be able to help you if you run into trouble.
